Biodiversity
|
|
Biodiversity, is 'the totality of the inherited
variation of all forms of life across all levels of variation, from
ecosystem to species to gene', is under severe attack. Its
ecological roots are neglected. Paving and populating, consuming and
polluting, human activities are having a great adverse impact on our
living nature. Human activities and - more fundamental - underlying
structural factors and material processes in our society are causing
species to vanish. Each species takes its secrets to the grave:
potential solutions to coming ecological crises in the biosphere,
possible cures to medical mysteries. There's no time to waste. We
must protect biodiversity now, for our families, our children, and
our future.

GREEN DESTINY is seriously contemplating by a set of easily
articulated goals. They are the following: to carry the systematic
and biogeography of the regional flora toward sustainability; map
the hot spots where conservation will save the most biodiversity;
acquire the knowledge of resource use, economics, and polity to
advance conservation programs based on sustainability.
GREEN
DESTINY brings together to protect the herbs naturally abundant
at hills enriched with medicinal/aromatic hail from rural areas
and forest belts, which have made a good contribution to the development
of ancient Indian material medica. One of the earliest treatises
on Indian medicine, the Charaka Samhita (1000 BC), records the use
of over 340 drugs of vegetable origin.
